GDPR Policy:
UpTop Dance only collects basic personal data about the children signed up for dance classes such as name, address, email, phone number, and date of birth. We also ask for any medical conditions of your child that we need to be aware of to ensure the safety of your child whilst attending our school.
Why do we need your data?
We need to know your basic personal data in order to be able to email you with updates on timetable, workshops, and new events we are organising.
We collect personal data in order to ensure the safety of your child whilst attending our classes. In case of an emergency the teachers will be able to contact you and they will have access to an online register which includes the students name and a contact telephone number. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need.
What happens to your data?
All the personal data we collect is processed in the UK however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the European Union or United States of America. No third parties have access to your personal data.
We may share limited personal data with other dance entities as when your child is entered for a competition or event not organised by us.
How long do we keep your data?
We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information
How do we protect your data?
We do not store your data in any physical form. It is stored online on the specific platform we use to email our students and their parents.
What are your rights?
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated by emailing pandi@uptopdance.com
If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office https://ico.org.uk/
UpTop Dance cares about the security of your data and your ability to control the communications you receive from us. All of the data we store in our database is password protected and is kept confidential.
Under GDPR you have the right to rectify, erase, restrict processing, or obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purposes across different services
